V soutěži Univerzity Karlovy o  nejlepší monografie hodnocené roku 2016 (s vročením 2014) se na děleném 1.-2. místě umístila monografie M. Vernera  „Sons of the Sun: Rise and Decline of the Fifth Dynasty“ a na děleném 4.-6. místě monografie M. Bárty a kol.  „The tomb of the sun priest Neferinpu (AS 37)„.

Na děleném 33.-39. místě se umístila publikace D. Antalíka, P. Čecha a J. Mynářové  „Starověké písemnictví Levanty II: Na stezkách domu Baalova. Náboženské texty literární a kultické„, na děleném 53.-57. místě monografie  „Medicine of the Ancient Egyptians I. Surgery, Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics“ kolektivu autorů Eugena Strouhala, Břetislava Vachaly a Hany Vymazalové. Na 14. místě se dále umístila monografie  „Interpreting Ancient Egyptian Narratives: A Structural Analysis of the Tale of Two Brothers, the Anat Myth, the Osirian Cycle, and the Astarte Papyrus“ bývalého studenta ústavu, Martina Pehala, který působí na Ústavu filosofie a religionistiky FF UK.
