In light of the current global situation, ongoing developments and individual states’ policies over the next few months, we regretfully have to inform you that the upcoming “Abusir and Saqqara in the Year 2020” (planned to take place from June 29 through July 3, 2020) has to be cancelled.

Despite the fact that we will not gather in Prague in a few months’ time, it is still our intention to publish the proceedings of the conference. The deadline for submitting your contribution is set for July 31, 2020. Our goal is to do our best to publish the volume before the end of this year. Your cooperation in this respect would be much appreciated (this includes all participants, which had accepted presentations at the conference). More detailed information and guidelines for manuscript submission can be found in this pdf.

Should there be an interest, we hope to organise the next Abusir and Saqqara conference in the course of 2021. More information will follow in due time.
