We are excited to announce the Accessing FIP Women Beyond the Family Unit symposium, part of a new Marie Skłodowska-Curie project at Charles University. This project aims to evaluate the social power of women through a theoretical framework by examining their roles and control over economic, symbolic, and political resources. The project aims to provide a comprehensive account of the women of the FIP and their agency within their distinct historical context, using quantitative and qualitative methods. The unique archaeological and epigraphical evidence of the FIP presents an opportunity to explore a broader range of the female population, including societal levels previously absent in the archaeological record of other periods.
