An important task of research at Usliis to understand the processes connectedwith the collapsing of local buildings.Many relevant pieces of knowledge areprovided by the study of the recentlyabandoned village located in a nearbypalm grove. It is conducted within awider palaeoecological and geologicalstudy aimed at better understanding ofthe character of the environment and thepossible shifts of the course of the Nile inthe past.
