The Czech Institute of Egyptology, Charles University is pleased to announce details of their first Zoom virtual lecture which will be given by Dr. Katharina Streit on Monday, October 12, 2020 entitled “Transregional Connections Across the Near East – Long distance ties of the Pottery Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods”. The event will last for approximately 1.5 hour including Q&A.

Katharina Streit is currently a researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on the archaeology of the Southern Levant from the Pottery Neolithic to the Iron Age, with a special focus on transregional exchange. She has directed excavations at the Early Chalcolithic site of Ein el-Jarba in Israel from 2012 to 2016 and co-directs excavations at Tel Lachish since 2017.
