Renata Landgráfová studovala srovnávací lingvistiku na Harvard University, USA a egyptologii na University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA a vystudovala egyptologii a lingvistiku-fonetiku na FF UK v Praze. V letech 2002 – 2004 studovala v rámci doktorského programu egyptologického semináře univerzity v Basileji ve Švýcarsku. V roce 2007 dokončila disertační práci na téma Aktuální členění v autobiografických nápisech Střední říše. Od roku 2008 je pravidelnou členkou české archeologické expedice v Abúsíru. V současné době se věnuje především překladům a interpretaci náboženských textů ze šachtových hrobek Sajsko-perské doby.
